In the past 10 years, the center has rescued 800 wild animals of 46 species, in which there are 20 species of Vietnam Red Book, 25 species belong to the list of Decree No 32/ND-CP, such as white-headed langur, horse bear, box turtles yellow forehead, stripping civet, dragon land and so on.

Mr. Dinh Huy Tri, deputy director of Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park said that although the units belong to Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park (Quang Binh province) but the relief operations of units have expanded throughout central provinces.

Currently, the lack of human resource, limited funding, incommensurate infrastructures are main difficulties, and the biggest obstacles to boost unit’s rescue operation, conservation and development of organisms.

Presently, Center for Rescue, Conservation and Development of Organisms belonging to Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park has 2 new large animal raising barns, 14 versatile stalls for reception, rescue of small animals, primates, 1 turtle relief zone and 1 veterinary division.

Thus, according to Mr. Tri, if situations occur to rescue animals and plants with large quantities, the center will not be able to meet the requirement.
